The band will be on hand to promote the February 11 release of their new album, "4", which saw them capture material for the project with a series of full band performances live at the historic RCA Studio A to Nashville, TN with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile). (hennemusic) Aerosmith have canceled their 2022 European tour. Originally booked as a 50th anniversary tour in 2020, the European series was first rescheduled to summer 2021 before being moved a second time to this year as Aerosmith continued to monitor international pandemic protocols.

"It is with deep regret we must announce that our European Tour, scheduled to take place in June and July 2022, has been cancelled," says the band. "We have continued to monitor the ongoing COVID situation and with the related uncertainty around travel logistics and the continued presence of COVID restrictions and other issues, it has become clear that it will not be possible to go ahead with our summer shows in the region. The health, safety and well-being of our fans is our number one priority. (read more)


Staind frontman Aaron Lewis released his new solo album, "Frayed At Both Ends", last week and over the weekend the record claimed the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Country Album Chart.

Part of that success if fueled by the song "Everybody Talks To God," which was written 20 years ago by Chris Wallin. Aaron said this about being the artist who finally recorded the track, "It's amazing to me that this song hadn't been scooped up earlier. (read more)


Japanese rockers Man With A Mission have released a music video for their cover of the classic AC/DC hit "Thunderstruck", which appears on their brand new album "Break and Cross the Walls I."

Gov't Mule have announced that they will be hitting the road this spring for a U.S. headlining tour in support of their chart-topping album, "Heavy Load Blues".

The tour is set to kick off on April 6th in Syracuse, NY at the Landmark Theatre and will wrap up on April 30th in Tuscaloosa, AL at the Druid City Music Hall, followed by an appearance at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga in June. (read more)


Oh Hiroshima have released a video for their song "All Things Pass". The track comes from the band's forthcoming fourth studio album, "Myriad", which will be released on March 4th.

Bright Eyes have announced an extensive reissue / re-recording project on Dead Oceans for 2022. The revered band, who moved their entire recording catalog over to the Secretly Group label last year, have unveiled plans to re-issue all nine of their studio albums as a 'Companion' series with additional recordings created together at their ARC Studios in Omaha.

The album reissue series will be partnered with the release of a Companion EP of five new recordings of songs contained on the original release plus a cover version from an artist they found particularly inspiring at the time of the original recording. The Companion series gives Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott a chance to revisit some of their earlier material and re-work it entirely - with the occasional addition of some talented friends. This ambitious project will see the release of 54 new recordings over the coming year. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Cult have announced dates for a spring US tour. The four-week, 13-date series will open in St. Petersburg, FL on April 21, with shows wrapping up in San Diego, CA on May 11.

Ticket presales are set to begin Thursday, February 3 at 10 AM local time, with general public tickets going on sale Friday, February 4 at 10 AM local time. (read more)


Dan Reed Network and Reckless Love have announced that they have postponed their UK coheadlining tour that was set to take place this month, but will now launch in August.

The trek will feature special guest Collateral and will now kick off on August 30th Glasgow at The Garage. Dan Reed had this to say, "The ongoing instability caused by the pandemic has made it impossible for Dan Reed Network and Reckless Love to travel to the UK and throughout Europe. (read more)


Punk icons Circle Jerks have released a music video for the newly remastered track "Wild in the Streets." The song is the title track to their forthcoming 40th anniversary reissue of their sophomore album.

Set for release on February 18th, the package will include remastered audio by Pete Lyman and rare April 1982 live performances of material from the band's first two albums, captured at the Elite Club in San Francisco. (read more)


Eric Church has announced that he has partnered with real estate and hospitality entrepreneur Ben Weprin as co-owners of new six-story property Chief's at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville, with plans to begin renovating the food, beverage and live entertainment space this year.

"I remember driving through downtown Nashville over 20 years ago with a pawn shop guitar, riding shotgun in a beat-to-hell truck just trying to chase a dream," reflects Church. "Chief's is the culmination of catching that dream. Like everything else we do in our career, I wouldn't even attempt a project like this if I didn't think it would be the best, so that's what Chief's will be: the best." (read more)


Ewan MacFarlane has released a music video for his new single "Honey". The track comes from his forthcoming deluxe edition of his acclaimed debut album "Always Everlong", which is set to be released on February 18th.

"Honey" represents the first time Ewan has revisited his back catalogue, being a recording of a song that was originally written and released via his band The Grim Northern Social back in 2003. (read more)


Alt-rockers Filligar have ended their seven year hiatus with the news that they will be releasing their eighth studio album, "Future Self," on February 25th.

The band had this to say, "We had a lot of fun writing this album and are more excited to share it than any before. In many ways, Future Self is a reflection not only of the journey that we've taken as a band since our start as teenagers in a Chicago basement, but also of our enthusiasm to continue to uncover new stones in doing what we love." I think one of the strongest marriages of music and lyrics in our catalogue is on our song, "Two New Stars". Here is the story behind that song. When I heard the track for the first time, my first impression was that the verse section sounded sinister; it is a truly evil sounding riff. However, the chorus and bridge sections evoked a certain light, a rising energy, and positivity. I wanted to tell a story that contained both the darkness and the light. I wanted some words that would match the two seemingly disparate feels. (continue)
