Journey have announced that they will be joined by Toto on their upcoming American tour after Billy Idol was forced to pull out of the trek due to health issues.

Idol announced that he will be undergoing surgery to deal with a chronic sinus infection. He said, "I am absolutely gutted that I won't be able to perform the upcoming dates with Journey as planned." (read more)


NEEDTOBREATHE have announced that they will be hitting the road this spring for a special intimate acoustic tour of North America in support of their latest album Into The Mystery.

The Into The Mystery Acoustic Tour will feature support from Patrick Droney and will visit 26 cities across the U.S. and Canada beginning April 18tg in Winnipeg, MB. (read more)


Dance Gavin Dance have announced that they will be hitting the road this spring for a U.S. headlining tour that will feature support from Memphis Mayfire, Volumes and Moon Tooth.

The tour will be kicking off with an appearance at Swanfest at Heart Health Park in Sacramento, CA on April 23rd and will wrap up on May 20th in Birmingham, AL at Sloss Furnaces. (read more)


Northlane have released a visualizer video for their new song "Plenty." The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Obsidian," which will arrive on April 1st.

Saxon have released a music video for their brand new single "The Pilgrimage". The track comes from their new album, "Carpe Diem", which will arrive tomorrow, February 4th.

Frontman Bill Byford had this to say about the new single, "Pilgrimage is a fantastic word. People go on pilgrimages all the time, not just in a historical or religious sense, but it's about going and visiting either a place that you feel is special in your life or somebody that's meant something in your life. The brief clip sees Flea rocking out while John Frusciante tears into a guitar solo; singer Anthony Kiedis and drummer Chad Smith are not visible in the video. (read more)


(hennemusic) Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have launched a video series sharing a behind the scenes look at their forthcoming album, "4".

"The record itself is probably the best one that we've done so far," explains Slash. "It was just a balls-to-the-wall, just straight-up live session." The band recorded the project at the historic RCA Studio A to Nashville, TN with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile). (read more)


(hennemusic) The official Ronnie James Dio documentary, "Dio: Dreamers Never Die", will see its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX next month.

Directed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton and executive produced by Wendy Dio, the project about the late rock legend - who passed away in 2010 at the age of 67 after a battle with stomach cancer - has been years in the making. (read more)


(hennemusic) Cheap Trick will join Rod Stewart as special guests on his summer tour of North America. The series will open in Fort Worth, TX on July 1 and is scheduled to wrap up in Tampa, FL on September 3.

Stewart shared the news via social media while also confirming that tickets are now on sale. Originally planned for 2020, the tour was put on hold as the live music industry - like many others - shut down during the pandemic. (read more)


Australian indie singer-songwriter Hein Cooper just released his new album "True To You" and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the song "The Distance". Here is the story:

In 2017-2018, Lukas Graham asked me to warm up for him at all of his shows across Europe and North America. It was a huge opportunity and an incredible experience. The whole team took me in as their family, living on a bus, visiting some of the most incredible cities in the world, over and over... I will never forget it. However, I felt very alone at times. My now-wife (girlfriend at the time) and I had recently got together and what we shared was real to me. It made me feel myself and at home, so leaving it for such a long time was hard. I can remember being in Barcelona at a venue called Razzmatazz; it was a beautiful day, not too hot. We were all backstage spending time there before the show in the night, and I felt incredibly lonely. I started playing the riff first, and an hour later, I had the song almost finished.
